Q: I’m getting error messages or error codes when running the version 1 plugins.
A:
This error only applies to our “Version 1” plugins and applies to the following errors: “Nalpeiron: Unable to install service” or “- 11 error: execution error: service install”.
These are related to Nalpeiron, our license provider. These errors occur when you have an older version of Nalpeiron on your computer (which would happen with another piece of software for example). It is easy to fix, just some details to follow-through (alternatively drop us a line and we can call you and walk you through the steps):
- Step 1: Uninstall the service:
- Click on Start -> Run and enter “regedit” to open the Registry Editor.
- In the Registry Editor, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\
- Go to nlsX86cc (may also be installed under ASTRV) and delete that entry.
- After you’ve deleted the above please double check to make sure that all instances are deleted. Also start at this step if you don’t find “nlsX86cc from the above file path:
- Go Edit menu -> Find. Check the “Data” checkbox, and uncheck all the others. In the edit box, enter “Nalpeiron Licensing Service”. Click the “Find Next” button. Delete any further registry entries that are returned. Continue until there are no more entries returned.
- Reboot the computer
- Then, right-click on the Perfectly Clear Installer and choose “Run as Administrator” (in Vista and Windows 7) or “Run as…” and enter the Administrator account’s details (in XP).
