At EyeQ, we are committed to the responsible and ethical development and deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. Our AI solutions are designed to enhance images and videos while upholding the highest standards of integrity and user trust.

This AI Policy outlines EyeQ’s principles and guidelines for the ethical use of AI across all our products and services. It applies to all employees, partners, and stakeholders involved in the development, deployment, and utilization of our AI technologies.

  • Transparency: We strive to make our AI systems understandable to users, providing clear information about how our technologies function and their intended outcomes.
  • Privacy and Data Security: Protecting user data is paramount. We collect only the information necessary to provide our services and implement robust security measures to safeguard this data.
  • Use of Images: Images collected by EyeQ are only used to train AI with your prior consent (Terms of Service). You have the option to opt out of sharing images for EyeQ’s AI training purposes.
  • Fairness and Non-Discrimination: Our AI models are designed to operate without bias, ensuring equitable treatment for all users and preventing discrimination in any form.
  • Accountability: We take responsibility for our AI systems’ performance and its impact on users and society, continually monitoring and improving our technologies.

  1. AI Applications

It will be made clear when the core functionality of  our products depend on AI technologies. Below are our current utilizations of AI with the type of AI(generative or non-generative) clearly identified.

  • AI Scene Detection – Utilizes non-generative AI to identify scenes within an image and apply targeted corrections.
  • AI Skin Tones – Utilizes non-generative AI to identify a range of skin tones within an image and apply an optimal correction for the particular skin tone.
  • AI Image and Video Enhancement – Utilizes non-generative AI to automatically color correct (including vibrancy, white balance, over & under-exposure), in the same manner that a manual professional photo editor would apply to the image.
  • AI Background Removal – Utilizes non-generative AI to segment an image into “foreground” and “background”.
  • AI Image Upscaling – Utilizes generative AI to insert additional pixels into low resolution images, increasing the image size in a natural-looking manner.  
  • AI Glasses Glare Removal – Utilizes non-generative AI to identify glasses glare within an image and only generative AI to create content where glare obscures the eye.
  • AI Art – Utilizes generative AI to analyze the subject within an image and create an artistic rendition of the original image.

  1. AI safety and Real Color Photography®

EyeQ prioritizes the safe use of AI technologies to protect our users from harmful applications. As such, we aim exclusively on enhancing the existing image rather than creating purely new content.

  1. Continuous Improvement

EyeQ is dedicated to the ongoing improvement of our AI technologies. We invest in research and development to advance our solutions and address emerging ethical considerations in AI.  Perfectly Clear AI technology is trained on EyeQ’s own large datasets, which we capture in house. We do not use customer images to train the technology.
